Hoxie 7 on 7 Tournament Schedule

Coach Tom Sears and his Hoxie Mustangs will host 1 of 5 reported tournaments that will be going on this weekend around Arkansas.  The tournament will consist of 14 teams divided into 2 divisions - large school and small school.  A round robin will be played for each division with the top 2 teams playing for a championship in their division.

We're going to plead ignorance as we have seen very few of these teams' results from other tournaments much less seen them play. With that in mind, we predict Bald Knob to defeat Gosnell for the lower division championship, and Jonesboro to defeat Valley View in the upper division. Valley View may struggle with the athletes that Wynne, Forrest City, and Marion throw at them, but we think their proficiency in the spread offense will allow them to be consistent enough to finish in the top 2. Also, don't be surprised if host school, Hoxie, or Cave City challenge for the title for the small schools.
