Henderson State University 7-on-7 Tournament Schedule

On Saturday, July 16, Henderson State will host an 8-team tournament in Arkadelphia beginning at 9 a.m.  These teams will be some of the first, if not the first to compete on HSU's new artificial turf field.  This event will divide the teams into 2 pools of 4 teams.  Each team will play a team in their pool plus a 4th game against a team in the other pool.  They will then break for lunch and come back for the tournament in the afternoon beginning at 12:15.

We fully expect Bryant (#6 in our Top 10) to come away with an undefeated championship at the end of this day.  The question is who they will play in the finals.  Any team in their pool has a chance, but our odds makers* put Catholic as the favorite followed by Fordyce from Pool B.  Fordyce is fresh off a championship at the SEARK Shootout on Tuesday.  We feel their chances are dramatically hampered by their depth.  By the time the 6th or 7th game rolls around, they may not have the legs to compete with the larger 6A and 7A schools.
