2011 Sonic Air Raid Preview

Coach Roddy Mote and Harding Academy is again hosting one of the top tournaments in the state as the Sonic Air Raid kicks off the 7-on-7 this weekend in Searcy. 16 teams will compete for the championship of one of the state's largest and more prestigious tournaments.

Using Arkansas Varsity's rankings as a guide, 7 of those top 20 teams will be on display at Harding University campus. But those teams won't be the only attractions as Coach David Estes will be putting Catholic High on display for what we believe will be their first big time tournament. Host Harding Academy is not in the top 20, but are usually a tough team to beat, especially early in the day. The most intriguing team in this tournament, however, is Wynne. We have never heard of Wynne in a 7-on-7 competition, but with new head coach, Chris Hill, 7-on-7 will become a given in Wynne's summer schedule.

  1. So Harding plays both Shiloh and Greenbrier at the same time? at 1045

  2. What can we say? Harding is pretty tough.

Seriously though, nice catch. We will get it corrected.
