Coach Chris Wood is taking his Wildcats on tour, and they are making Arkansas 7-on-7 football proud. Springdale Har-Ber went to Nashville last week to compete in the 24-team Music City Classic, a 7-on-7 tournament hosted by Vanderbilt. Har-Ber went 8-1 in pool play to capture the #1 seed and a bye in the tournament.
The Wildcats defeated 16th seeded Lavergne (TN) in the 2nd round, 36-6, then beat 9th seeded DeKalb County (TN), 29-15. They met up with 5th seed and eventual champion, David Lipscomb (TN) in the semifinals and suffered a one-point loss, 25-24. David Lipscomb would defeat Montgomery Bell Academy (TN) in the finals, 20-10.
Har-ber finished tied with Franklin (TN) for the best record overall at 10-2.
Har-ber is also competing in the National Select 7-on-7 Championships in Hoover this weekend. They were 3-1 in Thursday's pool play.
