2008 - Week 3 Lookback

We wanted to take a look at our predictions from last Friday morning. We made four predictions related to the 2 games that we planned to attend. For the record, 25% accuracy isn't going to light up Vegas, but we don't gamble anyway.

1. Both games will have a total points number of 70 or higher.
  • The SC/GW game had a total 57 points while the PA/LH game featured 98 points. Are we allowed to shift the points around? In all seriousness, Greenwood played fairly sloppy, putting the ball on the ground several times. It prevented the Bulldogs from getting into any kind of offensive rhythm.
2. Greenwood will win by a margin of 14 or greater.
  • Shiloh Christian 37, Greenwood 20. We have to say that we were more than a little surprised by this result. SC looked solid and GW didn't. Hats off to the Saints for proving that we don't know much.
3. Pulaski Academy's offense will finally find its stride.
  • I don't think there is any doubt on this one. The Bruins put up over 600 yards of total offense and scored 63 points.
4. Pulaski Academy will escape with a 3 point win over the Wolves.
  • Pulaski Academy 63, Lake Hamilton 35. We did get the winner of the game, but we don't think that anyone would have predicted this much of a differential. The Bruins got offensive momentum and just never let up.
In all honesty, we are really better than 25%, but only one prediction was 100% accurate. Give us your picks in the comments and we will see how well you do.

In Case You Missed It:

There were some incredible scores in Week 3. Here is a quick sample of them:
  • Fountain Lake 88, Hot Springs Lakeside 66
  • Pine Bluff 64, Warren 40
  • Lonoke 41, Central Arkansas Christian 38
  • Nashville 58, Liberty-Eylau (TX) 35
  • Osceola 70, Rivercrest 36
  • Earle 70, Hughes 6
Again, please tell us about any great games we should pay attention to as conference play starts for almost everyone this week (or any great game that we missed this week).
